Earthdawn 4E: Rogues' Gallery 01 - City Watch

This is the first entry in a new series intended to add some example non-adepts to Earthdawn Fourth Edition. I'm going to present a specific archetype and give examples at four different levels of experience, which hopefully roughly translate to equivalent Circles, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. The reason being is while these examples are presented in the same format as creatures, dragons, Horrors, Horror constructs, spirits, undead, etc., they are not built the same way. Instead, they are built pretty much as characters, just without the huge advantage of being an adept.


The end result is they are fragile compared to an equivalent challenge of any of the above. These are intended to be fairly simple in execution, though they have both combat and non-combat abilities, depending on their intended usage. The skills provided aren't intended to be exhaustive and any given example character will likely have other skills to round them out (such as artisan, knowledge, language, and potentially other professional skills).

All example characters are assumed to be human as a default. However, at the end racial templates are provided. The goal for applying the templates is not complete verisimilitude, but to maintain a rough equivalence between them. Emphasis on rough.

As well, their equipment can be exchanged for whatever is most appropriate for the setting. No blood charms or healing aids have been included - keeping it simple is the goal.

This first entry presents example city watch characters. If there are any non-magical archetypes that would be valuable, leave a comment and let me know. As well with comments on the content and format. This is less an exercise in playing with the system and more about making something useful for the community.
